I am feeling so excited and encouraged for women pastors and church planters. The wind is shifting. The tide is turning. God is moving and is ready to raise His Christ-Driven Women up to new levels in this country very SOON!
I've had some very awesome email conversations in the past several weeks with pastors Shaun King, Dave Ferguson, Steve Sjogren, Ed Stetzer. They are all such awesome men of God and all incredibly humble. (Even if they are all in different places in their views on women's roles in the church.)
I heard Dave Ferguson's church is calling their first female campus pastor! Yeah Dave! And Shaun King blatently stated that he thinks it's a sin for anyone not to allow women pastors! (There's a link to his blog from my twitter.)
There suddenly seems to be more and more male pastors taking a stand for women pastors and especially, women church planters. Halleluiah!!!
I am so pleased to be a part of watching history happen! A big part of me simply wants to be a pastor and a church planter and not deal with this whole gender issue!!! I've tried to ignore this part of the calling on my life, but God won't let me and I know that's a good thing because it's all a part of what I was born to do.
I do not feel angry or bitter over this issue at all. But I am very excited to be even a small a part of seeing God change HIS-STORY for ever! I know there has never been as great of a need as there is now for women to step up and become leaders, pastors, senior pastors and church planters for Christ.
Jesus prayed that we would be ONE just as He and His Father were ONE. So too is God calling all His children to be ONE in Christ! Greek, Jew, male, female, all ONE in Christ Jesus! Come Lord Jesus, Come and make us ONE with you!
